Frequently asked questions about eyelash extensions and microblading:

EYELASH EXTENSIONS
Q: How long do eyelash extensions last?
A: Lash extensions typically last about 6 weeks, and Fill ins or Refills are recommended every 2-3 weeks to maintain fullness.

Q: Do eyelash extensions damage your natural eyelashes?
A: Absolutely not! When applied correctly, eyelash extensions do not compromise the health or growth of your eyelashes.

Q: How long does it take for eyelash extensions to be applied?
A: Each lash extensions is placed on to each of your natural lashes one by one, this is very tedious. This takes about 2 hours on average. Due to the amount of time and the fact the eyes are closed for the entire service, some clients even fall asleep!

Q: Can you get eyelash extensions wet?
A: After 48 hours, you can get your Lash Extensions wet, even go swimming; water does not negatively affect the bond of the lashes because they are WATERPROOF! I supply all of my clients with lash cleanser as well to keep them clean.
MICROBLADING/MICROSHADING
Q: How long does microblading last?
A: Depending on the oiliness of your skin, the treatment can last 6 months to a year for Microblading and 1-3 years for Microshading ! The reason it is only semi-permanent is because microblading ink is only deposited in the first two layers of your epidermis, unlike normal tattooing, which penetrates down to 7 layers of the skin. Your 6 week touch up to perfect your brow color and shape is included in the initial price. We suggest touching up your brows every 6 months to keep them fresh and flawless.

Q: How long does one microblading/microshading session take?
A: Your first session will likely take 2 hrs. The beginning of the session involves numbing the skin, shaping and styling your future fabulous brows and perfecting the pigment of the ink. After your approval, the procedure will begin. Your 6 week follow-up appointment will typically take over 1 hour.
Q: Does microblading/Microshading hurt like a real tattoo?
A: The PMU Specialist will numb your brow area with a professional grade anesthetic to reduce any potential pain.
Q: How is the healing process for microbladed/microshaded eyebrows?
A: For the first 5-7 days, it is important not to sweat or get your brows completely wet. You must use an antibiotic ointment (provided) for the first 24 hours then switch to applying Aquaphor for the next 6 days and stay out of direct sunlight, and do not apply brow makeup (not that you’d need it) for at least 7 days and only touch the healing area with freshly-washed hands. Make sure to tell the specialist if you have extremely sensitive skin and cannot use certain facial cleansers.
Q: Am I a good candidate for microbladed/microshaded brows?
A: If any of the following pertain to you, you should not have this procedure done:
-If you are prone to Keloids
-Have Eczema, Shingles in the eyebrows
-Have heart condition or using heart medications
-If you are using Accutane
-Have had botox in the last 14 days
-Have had a chemical peel in the last 14 days
-Are allergic to Lidocaine, Prilocaine or Benzocaine
-Have skin disease or major irritations/sensitivity
-Have diabetes (ask your physician for approval & note)
-Pregnant or nursing (may choose to have procedure done at their own discretion)
